Transit flights to Russia for UK citizens

Russian consulate news

According to the new decision of the Government of the Russian Federation, dated 14 April 2021 N 963-р, the current way of entry to Russia for UK citizens and foreign citizens, who live in the UK with a residence document, has changed. Now, instead of direct flight only from London to Moscow, it is possible to take a transit flight to Russia via a third country.

The list of these countries is determined by the Russian Government and includes Turkey, Germany, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Switzerland and others.

Please, note that passengers, arriving from the UK, besides the PCR-test have to self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival.

Taking into account that different airlines and transit countries may have their own rules, our advice is to check the transit flight in advance in order not to have an unpleasant surprise during check-in.
